Pro-Tools 10 is here! It arrived in KC around Labor Day at Wheeler Audio. We have upgraded both of our suites to the latest and best Pro-Tools ever. Jim and our engineers are like kids in a toy store!
Come see them in action geeking out over 780 tracks, new plug-ins and did we mention 10 is faster and not as picky with video imports? No more converting! In English it means "saves you and your client money and time"!
The CALM Act - Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation (CALM) Act:
What this might mean to you and your clients:
TV stations, Cable and Dish will begin enforcing the FCC's CALM Act on Dec. 13th. This is their answer to annoying loud commercials (not yours of course). We understand that stations will refuse to air commercials that are not compliant with the new standard. Everyone knows air time is expensive and the last thing you need is all the hard work everyone has put into a spot or a campaign to be kicked out of the system. Can you imagine the calls from the client? The good news is your audio is safe with us! We are ready for the CALM Act to take effect on Dec. 13th and will supply the correct level to all commercials produced at Wheeler Audio.
I always knew as a child when my mother was getting into
the Christmas spirit. Mannheim Steamroller would start playing around
the house in whatever room she was working in. Never did I think that one day I would be working for one
of the engineers that mixed a handful of their Fresh Aire albums. If you

It always occurs to me to wonder when these guys come to town for their Big Slick Celebrity Weekend whether they might need to do any audio work while they're here. Well, finally, this time Jason Sudeikis stopped by!
The hosting comedic trio of Big Slick (Paul Rudd, Rob Riggle and Jason Sudeikis) have now all made it over to Wheeler at one time or another! It is always great to see Kansas City natives come back to town and support such a great cause. Children’s Mercy Hospital’s new cancer center received the financial proceeds from this event. (Give it up to Propaganda 3 too for their awesome webiste design!)
