The Big Reveal

Our long hunt to fill our empty engineer chair is over!          We're thrilled to announce the newest addition to our family - Janet Jameson.

Janet_2

We like her because she's not only an award-winning audio engineer, but also because her work includes everything from film to TV & radio spots, sound design for web based games and promotions, music production, surround sound theater post scores to corporate videos.

Janet has enjoyed a long partnership in original music composition with Rick Bacus.  Beyond engineering and production of this work, Janet has written lyrics and melodies for several nationally known brands including Hallmark, Northwest Airlines and Sprint.  Over the years, she has been featured as a violinist and vocalist in many notable bands such as Morningstar, Cole Tuckey, The Janet Jameson Band, and currently Nation and Rock Paper Scissors.  She's also quite stylish.  And as if all of this wasn't enough, she's an incredible ceramic artist

We can’t wait for you to meet her!

Cowtown Ballroom

Wheeler Audio transformed itself from a recording studio into a movie set in January.  The film crew from Cowtown Ballroom: Now That Was Special shot interviews for their up-and-coming documentary.  The film reflects on the short, but powerful run of the Cowtown Ballroom.

Its doors opened in the summer of 1971 and over the next three years welcomed a phenomenal mix of musicians including Frank Zappa, Van Morrison, B. B. King and Linda Ronstadt to its stage until the fall of 1974.  Interviews with Jim Wheeler, Herb Palmer and Rocky Rudy were shot in various locations in our space.

"Now Showing"

Kcbcalogo"Now Showing" is a program through the Kansas City Business Committee for the Arts that was created to introduce employees to local artists by displaying their work through-out the metro area.  It exposes area artists to new audiences as well as adds elements of inspiration and creativity to the workplace.

Deloitte in the Town Pavilion Building contacted Deana to hang her art on their walls from Feb. 1st to April 30th. Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland

Jan Parkinson, the Development & Marketing Director at Hallmark Hall of Fame, produced a light-hearted video invitation to the basketball benefit for the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland.  The Foundation raises awareness, searches for a cure and provides support to patients and their families with Parkinson's Disease.  Substation K edited the piece.  Drew Dimmel narrated it, and Jim Wheeler created the sound design.

Parkinson’s Disease affects over 1.5 million people in this country.  It’s a progressive disorder of the central nervous system and the most chronic neurological disease known, but still remains without a cure.
