Jim Wheeler sweetened and mixed the audio for The Next American Dream, a t2 Entertainment and Inland Sea Productions film, created in cooperation with the KCADC.
Both collaborating filmmakers are based in Kansas City and began working on the project when Kansas City decided to rebuild and revitalize its downtown core. Almost immediately they started exploring why people in cities have abandoned their "downtowns" to seek shelter in the suburbs and why they are returning to them in increasing numbers across the nation now. The film features the expertise of numerous real estate executives, urban planners, architects and historians. It also highlights the opinions of local Kansas City residents.
