David Basse

As we've mentioned in a previous post, KC jazz musician David Basse recently asked Jim Wheeler to remaster his album Count On Me.  Jim had originally mixed the album at Wheeler Audio back in 1989.

Without a Trace

The lovely Lois Atkins was in town from L.A. this month for a quick ADR session for the CBS drama Without a Trace.

Aside from commercial work, she's also appeared on CBS in Numb3rs and in NBC's Medium. 

Muse Cocktail

They describe themselves as being "like Jobim and Peggy Lee ran into Chet Atkins, got tipsy, and laid down some tracks."  They are Muse Cocktail - formed by Laura Lynch and Martin Mini, and Jim just wrapped up mixing their demo album.

See them in person and hear their unique blend of one part jazz and one part Afro-Cuban rhythm at their upcoming gig at JP's Wine Bar on November 22nd from 8 -10.
